Australian trio Phantastic Ferniture is back with a second single and video “Gap Year” from their upcoming debut album, which will be out on July 27 via Polyvinyl Record. We see thememebers Julia Jacklin and Elizabeth Hughes dancing over the horizon and just indulging in the sheer enjoyment of being at the top. The track is a mesmerizing indie rock track built on infectious riffs where they pour their hearts out. Where’s the remaining member Ryan K Brennan? We don’t know…watch below:

“This song is about just doing what you need to do, with no expectation of any kind of return. It’s about trusting your instincts and not seeking validation …Julia and I are performing our hearts out to absolutely no one at one …The lack of audience doesn’t dull our enthusiasm, and we know our companionship and community will be enough of a reward. It’s poignant because we grew up in the mountains, both desperate for a stage.” shared Hughes.

The trio has shows coming up in August:
