NYC artist Sam Setton takes us into a heartfelt R&B/pop soundscape with his new single “Santiago” where he taps into the lows and highs of being in a long distance relationship. It’s a slow-burning production where Sam’s lush vocals soar while the smoky ambience covers you with buoyant moodiness. Stream below:
“‘Santiago’ is the most meaningful song I’ve ever written. Although modern sounding, ‘Santiago’ is actually a song 6 years in the making. It’s the story of an ongoing relationship I have with a girl I met while visiting Santiago, Chile 6 years ago. I had initially gone to Santiago to see family and learn about the culture and country my mother grew up in, but I nended up starting a friendship and falling in love with this amazing woman.” shared Sam.
“Santiago” is the follow up of his debut EP, Renegade, which was released back in summer 2017. Sam is set to release more singles in the upcoming months.
