Suspenseful & soothing

Ohio psyche pop quartet Captain Kidd gives us a mesmeric sonic transmission of psychedelic pop with their latest single “Limit” – a marvelously suspenseful and smoky single where the sizzling synths and echoing chords take you into a lush dark space. It’s upbeat yet mellow at the same time since the auto tune-like structure yield an eccentric serenity to it. Stream below:

Comprised of Nathan Baumgard, Eric Blaha, Stew Weinland, and Nick Samson, Captain Kidd formed in Cleveland back in 2012 and is now situated in the growing music scene of Columbus, Ohio. They broke into the scene with their single “Freaky Love,” which led them to supporting other artists such as Glass Animals, Capital Cities, Wiz Khalifa, and many more. The band will be dropping a full-length album soon and has shows coming up:

6/23 – The Spacebar (Columbus, OH, USA)

7/13 – The Basement (Columbus, OH, USA)
