Welsh rock trio The Joy Formidable is giving us a taste of their upcoming fourth record AAARTH via their latest single “The Wrong Side” – a semi-auto tune rock piece that exhibits a mild dose of melancholia and buoyant riffs. During the first few seconds into it, “The Wrong Side” propels you into a blend of psychedelic and meditative sonic cloud where the trio toys with your imagination. Stream below:

In regards to AAARTH, lead singer/guitarist Ritzy Bryan shared, “With life not always being that kind, you can either go down a really dark hole or you can smear yourself with colour and reverie and try to forget. That’s what we did with AAARTH; we threw ourselves into this beautiful vivacious collage of experimentation, real meets unreal, and stopped giving a fuck about things that didn’t matter, and started caring more about the things that are worth your time.”

AAARTH will be out on September 28 via Hassle Records and the trio will start touring the UK in August. They will also join the Foo Fighters for the North American tour, so see them in person:
