UK quartet Moon Panda channels the enigmatic state of being an emotional prey in their new single “Rabbit” where they portray the victim/addict role people often play in toxic relationships. It has a lurking vibe to it where the blend of minimalistic mellowness and lush synths yield the perfect dose of edginess in the psyche pop soundscape. Stream below:

“Rabbit is about unhealthy love.” explained vocalist Maddy Myers. “It’s someone so infatuated with their partner that they can’t end their tragic, dependent relationship.”

Produced by Cam Blackwood (London Grammar, Florence & The Machine, The Horrors), “Rabbit” is out now via My Little Empire. Moon Panda is comprised of Californian native Maddy Myers, Danish guitarist Gustav Moltke, synth player George Godwin and percussionist Alfie Webber, who decided to settle on Brighton in 2018. The quartet is currently working on new music and have some shows coming up:

8/16 – The Camden Assembly (London, UK)

8/31 – The Admiral (Brighton, UK)
