Glossed with the summer vibe of electropical pop and trimmed with discreet psychedelic elements, Juliette’s “Hard Love” evokes a dreamy soundscape where desire and care for someone has no boundaries. It’s a shimmering single that also exudes the retro air of 80s sytnhpop where Juliette’s starry-eyed vocals bounces over the scintillating beats. If you are looking for an intricate summer jam that captures chest-swelling emotions but in a sophisticated fashion, this is it:

The Italian American artist broke into the scene with her 2017 single “Beach Break,” which accumulated a million Spotify streams and landed in Rudsak’s Spring Campaign. “Hard Love” is from Juliette’s upcoming EP Smooth Sailing, which will be out on July 25th and is based on her experiences growing up in New York. Having battled alcohol and drugs during her teenage years, Julietta went into rehab at the age 14. During that time, Julietta started finding her voice and used her struggles with addiction as the inspiration for Smooth Sailing. The gal will be playing an EP release show at Berlin (venue in New York, NOT the city in Germany) on July 24, so make sure to see her in person:
