Astronauts, etc. Embraces Silence In New Introspective Single “Shut My Mouth”

Time to be quiet.

Astronauts, etc. (the solo project of Toro y Moi’s keyboardist Anthony Ferraro) pays homage to silence in his new single “Shut My Mouth.” It’s a self-convo that we often find ourselves when we get too cluttered with out own inner voices. “I want to be quiet / Wanna shut my mouth / Hear there’s nothing like it / You can hear yourself” chants Anthony. Built on a soft buzz that rolls in a quasi-auto tune fashion, “Shut My Mouth” feels like the cerebral chill pill you need to relax:

“Shut My Mouth” is from Astronauts, etc.’s upcoming album Living In Symbol, which was co-produced by Chaz Bear (Toro y Moi) and will be out on July 27th via Company Records. He will start touring with Mattson 2 in August, so see him in person:
