NY artist Julietta toys with subtle elements of jazz and 80s pop in her new single “Smooth Sailing” where she glides us into a state of self-discovery. The track is soft and slick, but by no means minimalistic – it throbs with grand-sized ambient beats and swollen synths that channels the youthful boldness of the gal. Stream below:
“‘Smooth Sailing’ reminds me where I’ve been and where I am going,” explained Julietta. “No matter what all the hardships and struggles may be now or have been then, there is always going to be light at the end of the tunnel. Everything will be okay 🙂 I have felt deep pain, struggled with addictions, and every day learning how to love myself, but at the end I always make it out to some sort of happy place. It’s never too late, and it’s never over!”
The track is from Julietta’s upcoming album Smooth Sailing, which will be out on August 8th via +1 Records.
