The Joy Formidable’s “The Wrong Side” Is Psychedelia On Color Steroids

Like crayons meet laser

UK rock trio The Joy Formidable takes us to the chromatic side of psychedelia in their new video “The Wrong Side,” which looks like a dream you would have after ingesting a bunch of crayons (don’t try this anywhere). Channeling the raw aggression of rock, “The Wrong Side” is a feast of swirling riffs and multi-layered choruses that strikes you with an edgy intensity. Watch below:

“The Wrong Side” is from the trio’s upcoming LP AAARTH, which will be out on September 28th via Hassle Records. In regards to their upcoming LP, guitarist Ritzy Bryan shared, “With life not always being that kind, you can either go down a really dark hole or you can smear yourself with colour and reverie and try to forget. That’s what we did with AAARTH; we threw ourselves into this beautiful vivacious collage of experimentation, real meets unreal, and stopped giving a fuck about things that didn’t matter, and started caring more about the things that are worth your time.”

The trio will start touring at the end of this month.
