Future Generations Capture The Abrupt Nature Of Your Patience Payday In “Suddenly”

When it actually happens, it feels unreal

Whoever said ‘patience pays off’ should’ve included ‘but also feels bizarre when it does.’ NYC band Future Generations dissects that abrupt sensation we have hard time digesting when shit actually starts sorting out in their new single “Suddenly.” The midtempo and jittery structure of the song channel the disoriented feeling you experience when things actually start happening around you, but half of your mind is still stuck in the auto-pilot waiting mode. Enjoy:

In regards to the song, the band explained, “Sometimes things just happen the way they are supposed to and they happen all at once, but it takes a bit of patience leading up to it. Suddenly encompasses that message both in its lyrics and in the way it came about. After a bit of a writing slump, we wrote and recorded it in one day and didn’t touch it again until we mixed it with the rest of the album.”

“Suddenly” is from their new LP Landscape, which will be out on September 14th via Frenchkiss Records. They will start their North America tour with Zuli next month:
