Crowd isolation is a real epidemic

UK poptress Emma Blackery confirms that crowd isolation is a real social epidemic in her video “Take Me Out” where we see her at a party wrestling with paranoia and loneliness. Despite being surrounded by a festive crowd, the mental and emotional disconnection that Emma shows is something that we can all relate. It’s melancholic, but also a chest-swelling piece that gives us comfort in knowing that you’re not going crazy by feeling crowd isolation. You’re already crazy:

“It’s a song I really connect with and one of my favourites from Villains. The song deals with feelings of paranoia when you are feeling exposed and isolated by your friends.” explained Emma

“Take Me Out” is from Emma’s upcoming debut album Villains, which will be out on August 31st via Emma’s own label RWG Records. The gal will be doing an in-store performance and signing in August and September across the UK. She will also be hitting various countries around Europe starting October. Make sure to go see her:
