Shifting between natural settings to manmade landscapes, Valley Maker takes us into a road trip with his new video “A Couple Days.” Built on gorgeous string arrangements, the track is a reflection of time and longing where the smoky oohs in the background add an air of nostalgia to it. Directed by Joseph Kolean, “A Couple Days” captures the vastness and timeless sensation we experience during road trips from a first person’s angle. Watch below:

The single is from Valley Maker’s upcoming album Rhododendron, which will be out on October 12 and was co-produced by Toro y Moi’s Chaz Bear. Austin Crane is the mastermind behind Valley Maker who broke into the scene back in 2010 with a self-titled collection of songs that were originally written for his undergraduate thesis project at University of South Carolina (where he also met Chaz).
