We all been there or are still on it, but when you’re going through a shitty stage in your life, partying can be a very bizarre and surreal experience – especially the aftermath. THE INTERNET’s bassist and producer Patrick Paige portrays the temporary relief we get from our shitty lives in his new video “The Party Song (Do My Dance)” Ft Forte Bowie & The Best Policy. The first half of the video is deceiving – we see Patrick having the time of his life under the sun before we find him wrestling with an emotional hangover at home alone. It’s dark, upbeat and empathetic to those of us who experienced that hazy, bizarre sensation:
“I wanted to show the duality of the difficult time in my life where I still made an attempt to go out and enjoy myself. But. Even with trying to maintain a social life, at some point when it was all over I still had to go home, alone, and face my demons.”
The Party Song (Do My Dance)” is from Patrick’s debut solo album Letters Of Irrelevance, which also features THE INTERNET’s frontwoman Syd, Kari Faux, Forte Bowie, and many more.
