NYC-poptress Anna Shoemaker captures the vibrant and edgy allure of New York City in her new music video “Liquor Store” where we see the gal in chic fashion conquering the night in her own way. The video doesn’t necessarily capture anything fancy – in fact, it takes place at an average liquor store. But the youthful energy of the city and the contrast between Anna’s du jour style with the army of bottles is what makes the video an unexpected glamour:

Anna broke into the scene with her viral mashup work of Kendrick Lamar’s Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” and Chance the Rapper’s “Cocoa Butter Kisses,” which amassed more than 760k streams. She is currently gearing towards releasing her debut EP, which will be out this fall and was recorded with Grammy-nominated producer JT Daly (K.Flay). Anna will be playing some shows in the upcoming weeks, so go see her if you’re in New York:

8/30 – The Bowery Electric (New York, NY, USA)

9/10 – Rough Trade (Brooklyn, NY, USA)

9/21 – Pianos (New York, NY, USA)
