With haunting air and hooky chords, Aussie artist Nyxen immediately ties our ears down into the dark and sweet soundscape of her new single “Chains.” The quasi-auto tune tone of her voice makes the gal sound like she was possessed with whoever or whatever might have her chained. You can interpret it as infatuation, but it can also be seen as addiction. “Cos I dived in the deep end / Just to learn how to swim / But it feels like I’m sinking” chants the gal. Stream below:

Born in Tokyo and now residing in Sydney, Nyxen broke into the scene with her remix of The Temper Trap’s “Sweet Disposition,” which amassed more than 10 million streams. Nyxen has since then released an EP through Unknown Records and toured across Australia. The gal is currently working on a new record, so stay tuned.
