Chinah’s “Strange Is Better” Is A Slow-Burning Reflection Of Time & Continuity

Danish trio Chinah takes us into a slow-burning soundscape of R&B in their new single “Strange Is Better” where they reflect on the continuity of time and how fast/slow you flow with it. The track is minimalistic where you get immersed into the swelling atmospherics and dark shades of smoke. It has the incessant melodic tension of an autotune track, but with variegated rhythmic skeleton that pokes you throughout – stream below:

In regards to the single, vocalist Fine Glindvad explained, “With ‘Strange Is Better’ we wanted to make a track that kept its pace all the way through. To give the feeling of always moving forward. Like when your living your life too fast and you never really give yourself the time to think about what is going on and why you are doing the stuff you are doing.”
