London quintet Margot tackles the outdated notions of masculinity in their new single “Imagined Man” where the shimmering chords and fizzling atmosphere take you on a dreamy trip. With all the #MeToo movement taking place, Margot reminds us that feminism is not the only one that needs to experience progress and revolution – masculinity also needs to change. Stream below:

In regards to the song, Margot’s vocalist Alex Hannaway explained, It’s about hiding, from yourself and publicly, to fit the mould of an imagined idea of masculinity. Throughout, I’m confiding with whomever the listener may be, trying to be open about my own experiences”

You can catch the quintet live in the upcoming weeks:

9/20 – The Five Bells (London, UK)

10/6 – Dials Festival (Portsmouth, UK)
