Album Alert: Kero Kero Bonito Drops Surprise Album

A journey into your subconscious nostalgia

London trio Kero Kero Bonito has just dropped their sophomore album Time ‘n’ Place today via Polyvinyl Record Co. The trio has been acting like cyber ninjas in the past few weeks, sharing some glimpses into their new record without giving any hints on when they might actually release it. But it’s here now and it’s a glorious portrayal of one’s nostalgia that sporadically hits you in the gut. Like their previous works, Time ‘n’ Place transmits the upbeat flair of KKB’s eccentric synthpop and hopscotches between English and Japanese lyrics. But there is a more reflective and emotional layer to it where lyricist/singer Sarah Bonito taps into her own subconscious nostalgia for her childhood, home, and loss. Stream below:
