Sinfully indulging electropop

With chest-swelling synths and heart-tingling echoes, Evalyn almost makes you guilty in savoring her latest single “Crème de la Crème.” It’s a hazy electropop piece where Evalyn wraps you with glimmering layers of beats and mantric phrase “I don’t wanna go through the motions.” Despite its bubbly 80s vibe, “Crème de la Crème” is a discreetly dark reflection of one’s naivete and sin. “Crème de la Crème” is from Evalyn’s EP Salvation, which was released back in September 28 and captures the love/hate relationship and the bizarre normality of cult culture in Los Angeles. “One of the central themes is the idea of trying to find something to save you, whether it’s religion or a cult or anything else you might worship,”shared Evalyn.
