Far Caspian Shares The Simpsons-Inspired Love Song “Blue”

Shoutout to Milhouse

Perhaps the most hopeless romantic that any Millennial can name is Milhouse from The Simpsons – he’s the guy that we all hope will never end up becoming. Leeds-based quartet Far Caspian captures the deceivingly dreamy and blinding effect that love can have on us in their new hazy single “Blue.” Built on a groovy anchor, “Blue” is a light and mind-dazzling piece that is smudged with a blend of melancholia, bliss, and wistfulness. Stream below:

“The track itself is about unrequited love, and being consumed by being so close to a person, yet knowing that your feelings wouldn’t be reciprocated” shared vocalist Joel Johnston. “My good pal Milhouse Van Houten was the main inspiration for the song.”

Comprised of Joel, Nath Sayers (guitar), Alessio Scozzaro (bass) and Jof Cabedo (drums), Far Caspian has become the latest buzz in the UK indie scene with their cheerfully gloomy sound. They will be playing several shows in the upcoming weeks, so go see them:

10/11 – The Finsbury (London, UK)

11/1 – Brudenell Social Club (Leeds, UK)

11/17 – The Wardrobe (Leeds, UK)
