Youngr’s ‘Obsession’ Is A Freudian Dance Record

An exploration of our idiosyncratic fixations.

If Freud was an electronic producer, he would’ve probably produced something similar to Youngr’s new EP Obsession. It’s a 4-track dance journey that taps into the various fixations that exist in today’s world where we are given the tools to constantly feed our obsessions. Think about it – it’s so much easier to stalk people online today than it was a decade ago. What would Freud think about that? He would probably blame it on your childhood, which you should always do:

“With Obsession I wanted to focus on the dance side of Youngr and that naturally made things a little darker. The lyrics are about how we all have our obsessions whether that is a lifestyle, a person or even social media.” shared Youngr.

Originally from Manchester, Youngr broke into the scene with his self-released debut single “Out Of My System” which went viral worldwide. He will start touring at the end of this month, so go see him:
