Badassery 2.0

Aussie artist Meg Mac brings out her army of badass women in her new video “Give Me My Name Back” where she claims back her identity, worthiness and dignity in today’s sociocultural movement. Directed by Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore, the video took an army of 50 women of all backgrounds to make – now, that’s what we call badassery 2.0:

“This is a song for everyone who has lost an important part of themselves, which they need to reclaim in order to move forward with their life,” explained Meg. “It’s for the women who are standing up and speaking out, those discriminated against in the LGBTQI community, the indigenous people of Australia and the children abused by the church.”

The gal will be playing at SummerSalt alongside Angus & Julia Stone, Didirri, and Seaside in December:

12/2 – Hotel Rottnest (Rottnest Island, Australia)

12/8 – Glenelg Beach (Glenelg, Australia)
