Norwegian LA-based artist Mr Little Jeans channels her political frustrations and hope in her new electropical pop single “Unfolllow” where she uses an array of airy synths, atmospherics, and chest-swelling elements to buoy us into her own thoughts. The track sonically channels the suspense that is currently up in the political air and walks us through the gal’s emotional grief. Stream below:

“Lyrically, ‘Unfollow’ was something that had been rummaging around my head ever since Trump got elected. The sinking feeling of this new, horrid reality is something I’ll never forget. I was completely unprepared for even the possibility of this happening, let alone how deeply this would depress and affect me. It brought to a harsh light how much of a bubble my closest and I had been living in.” explained Mr Little Jeans. “It has been and continues to be a brutal wake-up call with severe repercussions for both our humanity and the environment. ‘Unfollow’ is about the unrelenting mourning of losing Obama and the deep sadness and shame I felt for passively standing by while disaster happened.”

Monica Birkenes is the mastermind behind Mr Little Jeans who has been working on her full length record since releasing her critically acclaimed EP F E V E R S back in 2016. We don’t know when the new album might be ready, so go ask her in person:
