Tove Styrke’s “Vibe” Is Farewell To All Your 2018 Potential Relationships

The ultimate quasi-breakup song

As we get closer to the end of daylight saving time (ugh, someone fucking make that stop) and wrap up another year, Tove Styrke helps us organize our inventory of potential relationships that didn’t work out with her new single “Vibe.” This is the perfect quasi-breakup song that you should blast out loud as your start deleting/blocking numbers, unfriending/unfollowing social media profiles, and detoxing whatever crap you accumulated from any potential relationships –photos, cheap gifts, socks, etc. The pauses between Tove’s croons and melodic flow capture the sporadic pauses we take when we get strike by the thought of someone who ended up in our texting blacklist. “2018 has been such an insane year for me! I’ve gone from sitting in a tiny basement studio in Stockholm making music that I think is really cool, to releasing my Sway album and getting to tour with some of my favorite artists (Lorde and Katy Perry), and now I get to spend the whole fall playing to my own crowds in North America, UK and Scandinavia. This whole year has been a pinch-me-in-the-arm-moment. This new song ‘Vibe’ is something I’ve been working on for the past few months. It feels like an ending and a new start at the same time. ‘Vibe’ comes from and belongs to the same place as the rest of Sway but it’s got a little bit more guitar, a little less lol and a bit more heartbreak.”

“Vibe” is the follow up of Tove’s new album Sway, which is out now via Sony Music. The gal bas been busy touring all year and is still wrapping up her fall tour. Make sure to see her in person:
