An introvert means to an extrovert end

Alt pop trio TWIN XL captures our the introverted desire for me-space and the extroverted need for human contact with their new single “Friends.” The video sees the three dancing and cuddling to a giant Teddy Bear in a rad living room space. As weird as this sounds, the concept of the video goes hand in hand with our unexplainable nature to crave for our own time space while also fearing loneliness. Watch below:

“We really wanted to find that happy balance between writing a catchy pop song that still had a lot of depth lyrically and also had a dark sonic undertone. The lyrics in the first verse talk about our desire for isolation and the internal conflict of an introvert. As the story progresses, we find sanctuary in the presence of strangers in strange rooms completely outside our comfort zone – here, we are free of judgement and we are free to be whoever we want.”

Comprised of ex-The Summer Set members Stephen and John Gomez (siblings) and Nekokat’s Cameron Walker-Wright, TWIN XL have produced for artists such as All Time Low, Lindsey Stirling, and Life of Dillon. The trio is currently getting ready to hit the road with Jukebox the Ghost and The Mowgli’s in March, so be on the lookout for tickets and more singles:
