Album Alert: POND’s ‘Tasmania’ Is Out Now So Life Is Pretty Good Now

A wild kaleidoscopic album

Aussie quintet POND just dropped their new album Tasmania today, lifting up all of our C+/B- lives into at the B+/A- range. It’s a muse on our doomed planet, daily existential crisis, little joys, and wild imagination of the five who seem completely fathomable at times while also alien-esqu in other times. You can call it a psychedelic record, but really it’s an ensemble of ambitious songs that are the byproduct of brilliance and craziness – mostly the latter:

POND has some shows coming up and will probably be announcing more soon:

3/3 – The Astor Theatre (Mount Lawley, Australia)

3/5 – The Triffid (Newstead, Australia)

3/6 – The Metro Theatre (Sydney, Australia)

3/7 – The Croxton Bandroom (Melbourne, Australia)

6/2 – Plaine De La Belle Etoile Au Bois De Vincennes (Paris, France)

8/8 – Toyenparken (Oslo, Norway)

8/16 – Evenemententerrein Walibi Holland (Netherlands, Netherlands)
