Middle Kids Soundtracked Our Own Existential Voice In “Real Thing”

Aussie trio Middle Kids brings to life our mini, inner voice that we always have on auto-play in their new single “Real Thing.” Built on strumming chords and fluid riffage, “Real Thng” captures the incessant existential doubt we experience even during the happiest moments. The video shows a couple who go through the extreme highs and lows of young love. Watch below:

In regards to the single, singer Hannah explained that it’s about the “lifelong quest for meaning. It’s the quiet, persistent voice in the stillness that constantly checks to see if you truly think you’ve found the thing you’re looking for.”
