Life Becomes A Lucid Dream In Dreamers’ New Video “Die Happy”

When it’s too good to be real

Still from DREAMERS – Die Happy YouTube

LA-based trio Dreamers blurs life with afterlife in their new video “Die Happy” where we vicariously explore the surreal and trippy ways the world becomes when we fall for someone. Sprinkled with psychedelic elements and subtle edgy tones of rock, “Die Happy” is a kaleidoscopic pop track that captures the rare moments when life feels like a lucid dream:

“I wrote, directed, and edited the video for ‘Die Happy.’ It’s a song about being in love in a moment, and I wanted to show this mood just with motion and color like a dance, rather than with a plot. The animations show other planes of reality that are always there, but just hiding behind the surface. It’s like we keep dipping between life and the afterlife, between wakefulness and a dream. At first we we’re going to film a concept more about death but it didn’t feel right. The title of the song mentions death, but it’s really just a poem about living and loving, and that’s ultimately what the video had to be.” shared band’s Nick Wold.

“Die Happy” is from Dreamers’ Launch Fly Land, which is out now. The trio will kick off summer tour in June, so go see them:
