Aussie artist JVLY gives us a very smoovy (smooth + groovy) treat titled “me&her” – a sparkling piece where the synthesizers float gently through the layers of samples and pastel rhythms that yield the smoothest waves. The song is the byproduct of JVLY’s new toy, an analogue synthesizer, and his creative partnership with Swiss producer DRKTMS. This is what happens when you give a toy and friend to a musician:
“I had just pretty much cut my arm off to get this amazing analogue synth and was fiddling with it when I came up with these sounds and this chord progression. Honestly, I wasn’t really trying to write a song at the time as I was just learning the ins and outs of designing sounds on this thing, and that’s when I hatched that pulsing synth that runs throughout the song” shared JVLY.
“me&her” is out now via Mammal Sounds Records.
