Odisseo’s “Hablando Lento” Is A Portrait Of Young Lust

Indie pop

Still from Odisseo – Hablando Lento (Video Oficial) YouTube

Mexican quintet Odisseo gives us a sketch of modern youth through the eyes of friendship, lust, and wistfulness in their video “Hablando Lento” (“Talking Slowly”). Buoyed by airy instrumentals, the track gives away subtle celestial vibes as its ruminative lyrics blossom with a starry-eyed vibe. Directed by Lariss de la Vega, “Hablando Lento” follows the narrative arc of lusting for your friend’s partner and the ambiguos emotions that border on desire. Enjoy:

“Hablando Lento” is from Odisseo’s latest album Cambio Estacional (Seasonal Change), which was released back in 2018. Check it out:

Formed back in early 2010 in Mexico City, Odisseo is actually a combination of two word: odio (hate) + deseo (wish). Since their inception, the band has released three albums, toured worldwide, and conquered (and keep conquering) the Spanish indie pop scene. They have shows coming up:
