The Amazons Welcomes You To Your Quarter Midlife Crisis In “25”

It’s like an orientation video

UK rockers The Amazons summarizes all the mental and emotional mayhem we experience when we reach our quarter midlife crisis in their video “25.” Inspired by Iggy Pop’s ‘Lust for Life,” the video is filled with bloodshot and firing visuals that tap everything from carnal appetite to the soul-eating uncertainty that the current hyper-stimulated generation faces. The song swirls with the rustic splendor of rock’n’roll where the propulsive riffs erupt and rush like a volcanic explosion:

“I wrote ‘25’ two months before I turned 25, to try to work out where I am in life. The song mimics the confusion that I constantly feel, that everyone my age feels. Are we all narcissists or are we really switched on?” shared frontman Matt Thomson.
