There is a scene in Pedro Almodóvar’s 1999 film All About My Mother where the transgender character Agrado tells a crowd of theater audience, “You are more authentic the more you resemble what you’ve dreamed of being.” Since then, we’ve come a long way in being open to the art of self-expression that still has a long way to go. Irish act ELM highlights the value and authenticity of such artform in new video “Paris” where we see singer Dylan Walsh celebrate his own gender-fluid fashion and the irreplaceable value it brings to his identity. Watch below:

Speaking of the track, singer Dylan Walsh shared: “Knowing the importance of acceptance, whether it’s in person, on a silver screen or through a set of headphones, we wrote ‘Paris’ after watching the documentary Paris Is Burning as an ode to the people who played a role in saving us and as a lifeline to those who need to be reminded that everything will be okay.”
