Comprised of three musketeers Kat McHugh, Luke Lount, and Daniel Egdell, Polo is a Leeds-based act that has been making heat in pop scene with their dark melodies. Their latest single “Hula” swirls you into an ominous indietronica soundscape where the trio explore the smudged boundaries between imagination and reality. Whether you’ve had some treats from the streets, gotten drunk, over-meditated, or suffered insomnia, “Hula” boxes us into that weird loop we’ve all fallen into where everything seems eerily distorted:

“‘Hula’ explores the line between fantasy and reality, through my experiences of a wild and unpredictable evening. I wrote the lyrics to this song after a surreal first encounter. The fun really started when we knew there were no trains back from where we were, and we would just have to see where the night took us,” shared Kat.
