Stop Pointing Fingers & Rock Out Wharves’ “Blame”

Meet the Aussie rockers

Australian quartet Wharves is on a mission to break out finger-pointing habit with their single “Blame.” The track is a pure indie rock anthem where they beckon us into a self-analyzing space that pinwheels with a breezy buzz and sharp strikes. While most of the vocals are embedded within the rhythmic clusters, the quartet clears out the melody to punctuate the track’s most biting lyric: “You say this and I say that” chants vocalist Matt Collins. Enjoy:

Based in Lennox Head, Wharves are Matt, Mike Watson (guitar), Scott Finch (bass) and Fraser Perrott (drums). Within two years of forming, the quartet already became one of the fastest and most sought out acts in the Australian indie scene. “Blame” is the follow up of their debut EP Sooner or Later, which was released back in October 5th, 2018. With more music and upcoming tour under their belt, you can expect to hear more noise from the four:
