Aussie artist Austen gives us a contrasting picture of reality vs. fantasy in her new Jeff Andersen Jr-directed video “Money.” The video showcases Austen in a dark, glamorous shoot where Austen shows what really goes on in real life contrary to what is captured on camera. The song chants about how often our expectations and perceptions get skewed based on what we want to believe. Enjoy:
Speaking of the video, Austen shared: “We wanted to poke fun at the ‘opulent’ vibe, and the contrast between the way people portray themselves as cool versus the reality. It’s a combination of a dark, alluring fantasy and an underwhelming, funny reality which really sums up the whole song (and my whole personality).”
