Laveda’s “Better Now” Is Smoothly Dysmorphic Dream Pop

“Find me a neverland / Where we see no end”

Through swooshy melodicism and dysmorphic vocals, Laveda whisks spine-tingling chills down the back with their latest single “Better Now.” The husky croons of Ali Genevich and the distorted voice of Jake Brooks guide us back to our primitive years of youth, where we are merely adolescents who float through life. While the track is seasoned with melancholia, it also sweetened with the pleasure of nostalgia and dreaming that the duo leavens through neverland metaphor. Enjoy:
