UK artist Rondo Mo (aka Robbie Redway) guides us into his quest for exploring and healing the human experience in his new EP Cinemas. As its title implores, the record moves and grows with a dramatic flair as Rondo transmits the sensations, realizations, and change we experience through synth-coated bursts, white noise, and expansive atmospherics. It’s infused with soul-rooted elements that are found within the wave of ambience that dictates the rhythmic trajectory of the EP. Stream below:

On his new EP, Rondo shared:

“This EP was written in a pretty compact space of time towards the back end of last year. The songs each explore a different facet of human experience but the common thematic thread running through them is one of healing. The cycle of suffering and healing and then learning from these experiences is something I’ve been thinking and reading a lot about recently. Sonically I really tried to restrict myself in the studio for this batch of songs. There’s one synth, piano, trumpet and guitar and a small pool of drum samples. Hopefully this gives it some congruency.”

Rondo Mo has previously collaborated with artists such as Midland, Citizenn, Edu Imbernon, To Kill A King and many more. He recently relocated to the British seaside town of Margate from London to build a studio in his garden, where he continues to songsmith electropop that will end up in your playlist.
