Desert Daze 2019 made history yesterday when hip-hop icons Wu-Tang Clan joined forces with Houston psychedelic funk trio Khruangbin for the very first time onstage. There was a wave of mad crowd disease that hit everyone last night as the legends gave birth to Khru-Tang.
Taking place at Moreno Beach in Lake Perris this past weekend (October 10-13), the festival was a summer throwback to multi-generational attendees who got to indulge in madness, water, kickass weather, and sound bath. Aside from Khru-Tang, Desert Daze saw the return of The Locust for their first show in four years, Pussy Riot, Flying Lotus, Temples, and many more. “It’s stressfully beautiful,” shared a shirtless, mildly high festivalgoer. “You get the best of everything. If you want to be in the chaos of music, then there’s the festival. If you get sick of it, you can just jump into the water.”
