Mysterious duo Emotional Oranges walk us through heartbreak and regaining hope in their new single “Sundays,” a sweet balance of pulsing strings and jostling synths that swirl us into the bittersweet labyrinth of a breakup. Largely influenced by the disintegration of their friend’s marriage, “Sundays” starts off moody but there is an undeniable air of re-discovery that leaves you with a pinch of optimism. Stream below:

On the single, the duo shared: “This record was inspired by one of our close friend’s (and collaborator) divorce. Sunday was the most liberating day of the week for him. Singer V channeled Brandy for the harmonies in the hook and we did our best to write a hopeful song about lost love.”
