Majestic emptiness

Blanco White, the solo project of Josh Edwards, gives us a taste of hermit Eden in his new video “Desert Days” where we see him explore the majestic vastness and nature in blissful loneliness (not really coz cameraman was there). “Desert Days” is bluesy pop, but has tints of Andean rhythm that gives it an eccentric twist. Taken from his upcoming debut album On The Other Side, which will be out on April 3rd, 2020, “Desert Days” taps into the claustrophobic emptiness that find ourselves in:

On his new single Blanco White shared, “the track has a slightly different swing to anything I’ve written before. It’s an Andean rhythm, played on charango and ronroco, but the harmonies are more bluesy. I’ve been listening to more blues-based music from both sides of the Sahara recently and I think that influence has come through on the album.”
