Tame Impala, aka Kevin Parker, has announced details of its upcoming fourth studio album, The Slow Rush, today. It will be the fourth studio album of the iconic act and will be released on February 14th via Interscope Records. Alongside the announcement, Tame Impala has also shared “It Might Be Time” as a glimpse into the record. The track taps into the existential paranoia you get when you wonder if your mojo is gone. The Slow Rush is Parker’s own meditation on time. “A lot of the songs carry this idea of time passing, of seeing your life flash before your eyes, being able to see clearly your life from this point onwards. I’m being swept by this notion of time passing. There’s something really intoxicating about it,” he shared.
The new record cover was created in collaboration with photographer Neil Krug and it symbolizes humanity swallowed by its surroundings.
