Austin duo Hovvdy has shared their latest María Medem-animated video for “Mr. Lee,” a story of compassion and reflection on the value of small things in life. Taken from their acclaimed album Heavy Lifter, the track  is a laidback piece that you can indulge without getting tired:

“I imagined Mr. Lee on the Mississippi gulf coast where my dad and grandparents live. It’s a beautiful and sad place. The song is about how significant very small things can be. Sometimes it takes courage to be kind to yourself. It’s really amazing when little events coalesce and all the sudden you feel better, awake, a vibrant piece of the bigger picture,” shared Hovvdy’s Charlie Martin.

Hovvdy is on tur this month, so make sure to go see them:
