Long-distance romance is hard

Kent-based band Tokyo Tea Room captures the longing and heavy-heartedness we experience in a long-distance relationship in new psych pop single “Designer.” With wistful riffs that drip in a gauzy canvass, “Designer” has a delightful balanced dose of psychedelia and shoegaze that exemplify the chaotic state of mind we have when we are deprived from the presence of our loved ones. We’re physically stuck in one place whereas half of our mind goes wandering with that person:

“‘Designer’ is about missing someone you love, the lyrics embody the emotions of being in a relationship but separated by living in different cities,” shared TTR’s Daniel.

Tokyo Tea Room are Daniel Elliot (Synths/Vocals), Ben Marshall (Bass), Beth Plumb (Vocals/Keys), Sam Teather (Drums), Ryan Debling (Guitar) and Graham Nunn (Guitar). “Designer” is from their upcoming EP Dream Room, which will be out on November 29th via A Certain Kind Records.
