UK artist Guest Singer wants us to embrace our past and roots in new upbeat single “Latest Nostalgia,” a hip-shaking anthem drenched with the glittery synths of disco ball. Awash with gauzy layers and swaggering vocals, “Latest Nostalgia” defies the negativity surrounding going back to the past, like moving back to your hometown. It’s a party for your present and former self:

On the influence behind the track, Guest Singer shared: “Negative pressure surrounds staying -or ending up -back in the place where you grew up, like it’s some sort of failure. Yet, we are obsessed with our younger selves and memories. We buy apps to make things look the way the did when we were growing up. In all this mess and loneliness, ending back in your home town… Why would it be such a bad thing?”

The track is from Guest Singer’s upcoming EP Limbo Days, which will be out tomorrow on February 13th. He’s also going on tour next month:

March 3rd – The Polar Bear, Hull

March 6th – Café Totem, Sheffield (support / Peach Fuzz)

March 26th – Headrow House (co-headline w/Lelo)
