Robotaki, aka Preston Chin, joins forces with rapper Pell in new single “Now That We’ve Been In Love,” a funk-tinted indietronica groove anchored by the vintage elements of Southern soul of Outkast. While the song is deeply embedded in nostalgia, the contemporary production offers a soundscape where listeners can hopscotch between the past and present:

“This track was composed while living in a constant state of nostalgia. The production is a modern take on older sounds, blending a past sense of self with a more confident and self-aware version in the present day,” shared Preston. “When I met with Pell to write the song’s lyrics, he brought it to an even deeper place about love and how it changes with experience.  Our views of love inevitably change with each rendition of it that appears in our lives, whether it’s love for a person or what you do”.
