JR JR’s “The Way I Do” Is For Any Uneasy Romance

Very appropriate right now

Detroit duo JR JR is back with a new single “The Way I Do,” a starry-eyed anthem that taps into the high and lows of intimacy that feels very appropriate for 2020. Through silky vocals, the duo admits that sharing mutual emotional attachment is an uneasy process, but still a priceless incentive in the end. Enjoy:

“The COVID-19 virus was a year from even existing when we wrote the song, ‘The Way I Do,’” shared the duo. “We were just attempting to write a fairly straight-forward love song — something that’s been scary for us to do at times. In the midst of our new day-to-day reality, it’s still a celebration of devotion, but the opening lyrics seem to feel different now with the line, ‘we knew it wasn’t gonna be easy.’ The universe is not without a sense of irony. We hope that this song brings you something useful for your world.”

“The Way I Do” is from the duo’s upcoming EP August and Everything Prior, which will be out on May 1st via their own label Love Is EZ Records.
