A song born in a state of confusion

Chicago-based quartet Slow Pup explores the mental and emotional struggles of accepting love in their latest single “Idaho.” The track was written while the band was on tour and suffering all the symptoms of roadlife, which included guitarist Henry Stoehr mistaking their show at Colorado College for another gig in a different state. Humor aside, “Idaho” is a breezy anthem that is covered with glimmering strings where Emily Massey’s vocals navigates through the inner struggles of letting love in:

“Idaho” is from the quartet’s upcoming self-produced debut album Moveys, which will be out on October 9th via Winspear.
