Toronto-based artist Jacqueline Tucci offers a message of self-honesty in new single “Sweeter Things,” an airy anthem that hovers on the edge between sharp, crispiness and pillowy smoothness. In “Sweeter Things,” Jacqueline dives into the notion of being true to oneself despite all the external pressures that come from society. Beneath the razor-like synths, there is a layer of sweetened softness that makes the track a delightful contrast rhythmically. Enjoy:

“‘Sweeter Things’ emphasizes the importance of being true to yourself and speaking up for what you believe in. The lyrics are tongue-in-cheek but the message is sincere,” commented Tucci. “I think a lot of women, in particular, sometimes feel like we need to live a certain way based on someone else’s standards, but it just isn’t realistic.  You know what matters to you and you should stand up and speak up for that.”
