Glasgow-based sextet Walt Disco demolishes the outdated barriers of masculinity in new single “Hey Boy (You’re One Of Us)” where they embrace one’s feminine part. It’s art-pop polished with the edginess of rock and washed with new wave elements that yield a distorted euphony. Hit play:

On the new single, Walt Disco’s James said: “We wrote this song around a hypothetical situation about teaching a man to come to terms with his feminine side and that it wouldn’t devalue the parts of him that are male, but would make him feel more free and help his relationships with others. We obviously had a lot of fun writing it and sometimes the lyrics get a bit kinky, but such is life.”

The single is from the band’s upcoming debut EP Young Hard and Handsome, which will be out on September 30th via Blood Records.
