Her Songs, the collective project of female artists around the world, has shared their new EP Toronto Vol. 2. It’s a four-track journey that kicks off with the 90s drenched piece “Just My Luck” where they blend retro R&B elements with a modern magic touch. “Love Fatale” takes us into a buoyantly heartbreaking place whereas “Halfway To The Moon” takes us on a contemplative waltz. The final piece, “Lost A Little,” is a soulful pop piece that strikes our nostalgia strings while also radiating the glimmer of hope and positivity towards the future. Hit play and savor:

On their project, the gals shared:

“The idea of Her Songs is to show what can be achieved in a short amount of time with some basic gear, a handful of femme songwriter/producers, a videographer and a tight budget. We want to normalise the image of a woman in the producer chair, and break some unspoken rules in the industry about the process of making and releasing music. This EP is our way of showing that writing doesn’t have to always be exclusive and secret, it can be collaborative, open, inclusive, and light hearted too.”

Stay tuned for more releases from the gals.
